How Far into the End Times are we?

It does not take much to grasp that we are now in the end times. The
signs of summer are all around and we know that our redemption is
drawing close. All expectations are that we will be the generation
that gets to see it. No, none of us know the date and we have been
warned that the Lords appearance will appear to be late, as in the
parable of the 10 virgins and their lamps etc. However that does not
mean that much of what was talked about by Jesus and the book of
Revelation has not come about already exactly as described. We are in
fact already deep into the events spoken of and did not know simply
because they started off in the normal course of events. Small
incremental steps over a long period of time.

The Churches.

Right in the first chapter of Revelations Jesus instructed John to
write letters to the seven churches in the middle east where Jesus
gives them instructions regarding what they are doing right and what
they are doing wrong. Yes these were seven active churches operating
at that time, but as the centuries have gone by it has also become
apparent that the order in which Jesus selected to address them, also
corresponds to the general condition of the greater church body down
through the ages.

The Churches we are interested in are the last two as they also start
to correspond to the seals as described later.

Second last church;

This church condition came into its own in the 1700’s and 1800’s. This
was the age of the great missionary outreaches that went global in
scale. The door was opened by the early European explorers and later
colonisers that made it possible for the ministers of the gospel to
gain access to all the far distant lands on other continents.

Rev 3:7  And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These
things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of
David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man
openeth;
Rev 3:8  I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open
door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and
hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

It is also during this time that the secret societies and banking
cartels were setting themselves up for world domination by means of
intrigue and manipulations. The western nations had started to enter
their industrial revolutions, that gave them power over other nations.
They had the steam engine while many other races had still to develop
the wheel.

Jesus referred to these secret societies as the synagogue of Satan,
which they still are and they still deflect all their evil deeds onto
the Jews, so God’s holy nation gets to take all the blame.

Rev 3:9  Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say
they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to
come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Rev 3:10  Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will
keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the
world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Rev 3:11  Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that
no man take thy crown.
Rev 3:12  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my
God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name
of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem,
which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him
my new name.
Rev 3:13  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto
the churches.

The First Seal.

The first seal fits hand in hand with the second last church and the
missionary expansion.

Rev 6:1  And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard,
as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come
and see.
Rev 6:2  And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him
had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth
conquering, and to conquer.

This is looking at the age of colonisation by European nations. The
rider had a crown, a crown represents a kingdom and imperial might.
Europe had won the technological race and now went off to conquer
other lands in the name of their respective kings because the other
nations did not have the power to stop them. As it was, most were not
even organized into nations, they were just free ranging tribes.  But
this colonial age did bring the understanding to the world that a
global civilization was practical and achievable. Everyone was made
aware of everyone else and the Gospel of salvation was spread world
wide. This is one of the conditions required for the end of the age to
come about.  All nations know of Jesus. A lot have rejected him but
they know of him non the less.

The last Church.

This last Church describes the church of the 1900’s and 2000’s. It is
the condition of our modern church which sadly has become
incorporated. In our time the Gospel has become an intellectual
subject that is far from the passion of the hart. Lots of religiosity
over doctrine but only a false love for show. Few are on fire for the
Lord, most just drift and dabble mixing truth with false to see what
comes out. While the shepherds keep an eye on the mammon.

Rev 3:14  And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write;
These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the
beginning of the creation of God;
Rev 3:15  I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I
would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,
I will spue thee out of my mouth.

One of the biggest traps to befall the modern church is the divine
prosperity message. Father God becomes Father Christmases and he wants
to bless you with a new car. Jesus made it quite clear that either you
serve God or you serve mammon but you cannot serve both. So the
teachers teach the flock how to manipulate Gods promises so as to
force him to make you rich like a kings kid. By that standard the drug
dealers must be extra holy because they are choking on money. When was
the last time you ever heard a sermon about mammon. Jesus had a lot to
say about it so why do the pastors avoid it ?

Rev 3:17  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods,
and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and
miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Rev 3:18  I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that
thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed,
and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine
eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

This is where many of our modern shepherds are going to be held in
shame by our Lord when he has his own judgment of his own sheep. The
shepherds watched the bottom line and would not preach any teaching
regarding the severity of God so as not to hinder the cash flow. You
shepherds have done very wrong, you have not strengthened the flock to
with stand the persecution but have set them up for the fall. You know
who you are ! Now the spirit of this world is dictating to the body of
Christ what it may and may not preach so as to not offend.

Rev 3:19  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous
therefore, and repent.
Rev 3:20  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my
voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with
him, and he with me.
Rev 3:21  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my
throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his
throne.
Rev 3:22  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto
the churches.

The start of the countdown.

Jesus warned that the beginning of sorrows regarding the end of the
age would be marked by wars and rumours of wars. The year before the
first world war the statesmen of the time were publically remarking
just how at peace the world seemed to be . Never had there been a time
more conducive to peace on earth and then a year later the Great War
to end all wars Hit.

Mat 24:6  And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye
be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end
is not yet.
Mat 24:7  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against
kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes,
in divers places.
Mat 24:8  All these are the beginning of sorrows.

WW1 was where the power of the first white horse was greatly weakened.
It was one faction of the white horse against the other faction ,which
also set the stage for all their colonies to be against each other as
well. WW2 was even worse and was truly global in nature but it also
opened the door for the red horse of the second seal to rise up and
the earth has never seen any real peace since.

The Second Seal.

The rider of the second red horse has no crown. Why would he have one
? He does not represent any nation or kingdom but an ideology. The
color of the communists is red. The Red Horse was never intended to
rule, only make war and destroy peace.

Rev 6:3  And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second
beast say, Come and see.
Rev 6:4  And there went out another horse that was red: and power was
given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that
they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great
sword.

The communist ideology is the motivator in all the liberation
movements that have been used all around the world to break the power
of the white horse and cast its influence far from the third world
colonized nations. Of course once it has taken a country it has no
idea how to govern it so the victors normally just plunder them into
destruction and go back and blame the white nations because that is
what worked for them before.

The last bastions of the white horse is Europe and North America and
now the full might of the red horse is being flung against these last
two places. There will be no winner but in the destruction the door
will be opened for the son of perdition to rise up and consolidate the
nations of this world  under his direct control. Hence the reason
there is so much Satanism and witchcraft involved in all the
manipulations employed to break the traditionally white Christian
nations down. The conflict plays out in the natural but it is being
waged in the spiritual !

The Third Seal

The one thing that has become apparent about the seals is that they do
not have to be the results of natural events. Quite often it becomes
obvious that they are the result of deliberate and intentional actions
of men. More often than not the synagogue of Satan that Christ talked
about and what many call, the Illuminati.

Rev 6:5  And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third
beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he
that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
Rev 6:6  And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A
measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a
penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

The black horse is poverty. When national debts are in the tens of
trillions then you know it is game over. There were lots of famines
around the world in the 1900’s and many people starved to death, yet
on a global scale there was plenty of food available to feed them all.
The problem was that the poor could not afford it so down the tubes
they went. We can already see this kind of situation developing on a
global scale.

It’s kind of hard to bring in the mark of the beast when the whole
world has already been warned against it. So a deliberate action has
been taken to destroy the value of money and bring in a social credit
score. Those that take the mark have a high score and access to food
and benefits, while those that don’t are cut off. At the time of
writing this, August 2020, this is where we are in the time line.

The Fourth Seal.

Rev 6:7  And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of
the fourth beast say, Come and see.
Rev 6:8  And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat
on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto
them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with
hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

The undermining of the value of currency and the implementation of
poverty is being brought in to act as a sorting process. It is
deliberate, think of the Georgia guide stones (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_Guidestones) Well death and hell
are going to have a field day. The objective is to get rid of all
those that do not go along with the globalists new world order by
killing them off. There is going to be a heavy occult influence
pushing this as well. The early influence of this is already being
felt.

The Fifth Seal.

This is also already starting to come into play. Again the anti-
Christian stance has been preplanned and is premeditated in its
implementation. The education system brought in evolution and the age
of reason so the generation growing up would have minimum spiritual
influence emanating from Christ. Prayer in the name of Jesus has been
banned all over so as to not offend. The Ten Commandments have been
removed from all court houses. Church bells silenced.  Humanistic age
of reason promoted along with the occult and blatant Satanism openly
practiced in the streets.

Rev 6:9  And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar
the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the
testimony which they held:
Rev 6:10  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord,
holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that
dwell on the earth?
Rev 6:11  And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it
was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season,
until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be
killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

It is now already out in the open that the globalist proponents are
anti-christian. They are doing all they can to ban Christianity and
prevent any form of outreach. To fill the void now made by the
vacating Christians the globalists are promoting Islam. In fact they
are trying to import Muslims into Europe and North America by any
means they can as this faith dictates the need to behead all infidels
that do not convert to Islam. The perfect religion to destroy the
Christians.

We already see this all playing out in the worlds news reports but
with the twist that it is the Christians that are the hateful bigots,
and the Muslims doing all the killing are the poor innocent protestors
or refugees coming here for a good life.

Jesus described this time this way;

Mat 24:9  Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall
kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
Mat 24:10  And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one
another, and shall hate one another.
Mat 24:11  And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:12  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
Mat 24:13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

The rapture does not occur until the sixth seal, but as we can already
see the first five seals starting to play out, on a global scale,  it
becomes obvious that we are now very close to the end. In fact if the
two world wars be the starting point for the last generation then we
are starting to go into overtime about now.  Call it ten minutes to
mid-night.

When the battle never seems to end

The repeated cycles lines are quite often the ones to blame when a battle never seems to end no matter how much you bind and cast out.

This line basically puts other demonic lines in a loop state, so when you bind it, it moves to the back of the line instead of returning to hell. Thus the line repeats itself no matter how much you bind it.

To deal with this bind the hierarchy and generals from operation over the leadership of the repeated cycles line under all hemispheres, and bind the line from operation over the person place or thing.

You then ask God to release his counter angels upon the situation and person place or thing.

It’s interesting to note, that as a counter in some situations, you can also ask God to release his own repeated cycles lines upon a situation or person. Thus the battle must be won before things settle down

Lines: important to note: use English translations when in prayer asking for binding or loosing. Unless you’re native language is different it just makes your prayer more effective.

An Analysis of End Time Biblical Prophecies.

An Analysis of End Time Biblical Prophecies.

Pre-amble and Introduction.

If ever there was a subject that is filled with controversy, this will be it. I have found that I can take 20 well schooled Bible Scholars and no two of them will be in full agreement. Yes they will settle on main topics that are self evident but the division come in regards to the timing and overlap of the separate events.

In fact at lot of people know more about the different stances, which now all have their own names, than they know about the actual supporting scriptures. eg; pre-Trib, mid-Trib or post-Trib rapture. Obviously only one stance can be correct, which also means the other two have to be wrong indicating their theology is off. Just as well that our salvation is not dependant on our ignorance or cleverness in knowledge of the scriptures, but upon our faith in Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross.

To add to the mix is the fact that most events found in the book of Revelation, also has its counterpart describing the same event in the old Testament as well. There is also an overlooked situation where the destiny of the Israelites are different from that of the Gentiles. Only the 12 tribes of Israel were represented at the covenant that made up the old Testament under Moses, where as the Gentile nations come under the new Covenant established by Christ. Psalm number 2 explains this rather well. In fact this psalm is very prophetic and points to the end of age judgments.

Psa 2:6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
Psa 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Psa 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Psa 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

All that being said, what I wish to do here, is to give a time line for the progression of the end time events as laid out in scripture with the relevant scriptural passages as proofs. Digging too deep is avoided so as to enable the narrative to progress in a logical and straight forward way that the new Christian can follow easily. Once the basic outline is grasped the saint can always go back over to dig out the greater details on their own. At least this should give the correct questions to ask !

The Beginning of the End.

Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

The end time events have to begin at some point in our historical time line and it has become quite obvious that this marker has already passed. It has also become obvious that the end times are going to drag out as a long drawn out marathon, not a short sprint to the end.

Jesus warned us about this in the parable about the ten virgins and their lamps. This is worth taking a look at;

Mat 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Mat 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
Mat 25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
Mat 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
Mat 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
Mat 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Mat 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
Mat 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
Mat 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
Mat 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Now the virgins represent the saints, they all perceived that the time of Christs return was close which is why they gathered their lamps in the first place. They all came together so as to meet him when he came but there was a delay resulting in them all slacking off. However when the call went out that the time of his return had actually come, only half of the number were still properly prepared. We are currently in that delay !

During the 1800’s missionaries went out to all parts of the world along with the explorers and colonisers. This has been described by theological scholars as the greatest age of missions. At this point in time there is no nation in this world that has not heard of Christ. Many have rejected the message and some nations drawn back from following Jesus while the academia of the world has gone out of its way to disprove Christ. Even the nations that were once considered the bastion of Christendom have drawn back opening the door for the rise of Satanism.

But the fact remains all have heard of Christ and the gospel of salvation. And right on cue the end time events start to unfold through the natural course of events. The reason there is so much aggression directed against Jesus and his saints is because we are in the end times, what else are we to expect at this time ? Jesus warned of this period as progressing to when the night falls and no man is able to preach.

Joh 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

The First Signs.

Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

The very first thing that Jesus warned about was the rise of false teachers and prophets to corrupt the simplicity of the Gospel. Even to the point of some claiming to be Christ himself. This basically started while the original Apostles were still living and has only gotten worse. At this time the promotion of the false has become an avalanche.

In the last days here we have reached the point where there is now an entire false church system operating along side the real. The best way to tell the difference is what does the body in question teach about Mammon. In order to understand the difference between the kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Satan you really do need to understand the significance of mammon and its levers of operation.

Then the next marker for the end days is wars, think the first two world wars, what is significant here is that they were fought on a global scale. This is very significant and is what separates these wars from the wars of the past. In the past it was basically one tribal group looting the other. But here it was all done with a global view and rule of law even though the laws were in conflict. It placed in the minds of men the idea of a global government so as to prevent these wars. A concept that was not really plausible before.

The industrial age has enabled mankind to slaughter itself on an industrial scale and the use of money provided under Usury is the chains that binds all nations in a common net. The concept of a single world government along with the striving for world domination is what points to the end of the age wars. Jesus spoke in terms of global events, not regional, which was not possible before.

Along with the wars would also come natural disasters. The size and frequency of earthquakes has definitely increased. So has pestilence and famine. With global travel common now the pestilence is spread globally very quickly. We are also running into diseases never seen before like Ebola and AIDS. Bio weapons coming out the labs is also new to nature but are produced for these last days.

However we are told that this is just the beginning of sorrows. Indicating that we have this start then there is a period of time to pass before the rest comes crashing down on us.

The Main Event Begins.

Mat 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
Mat 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

I am writing this in December 2018. You can see the hatred of Christians growing world wide, It is organized and very violent, In fact there is no shortage of the saints getting their heads lopped off around the globe. Satanism is now open and on the rise. Christmas has become a yearly battle fought both in the courts and on social media, an entire generation has been indoctrinated to be anti Christian through the education system. Who would have thought that a season for peace on earth and good will towards men would be so hated.

This is so obviously spiritually driven that there is no denying that the kingdom of Satan is behind it. Which would indicate that the event in the verses below must have occurred; The woman that brought forth the man child is the nation of Israel, This nation is currently being blamed for all the troubles in the world right now. The man child is Jesus who founded the church so by extension Satan will be going after the saints for persecution as well.

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Rev 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

There is one thing that may prove of comfort to the saints here. The kingdom of Satan is not actually becoming more powerful, only more concentrated. As the demons are kicked out of every where else, so they end up here as their fall back position. We are simply experiencing more demons per square mile than before. Even though this is a bit harsh for us and getting harder, the demons are actually getting the worse end of it and eventually there will not even be room for them here either.

The game plan that the kingdom of Satan has to combat the saints during these last days is also laid out in the book of Daniel. Its worth looking at.

Dan 12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
Dan 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
Dan 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

Well we are now at the time of the end so these words are for us. We are the Holy people and the power that is to be scattered is ours. No the authority we have in Christ is not going to be annulled but how we will have to wield it, will be different in these end times.

The word translated as scattered is this one below;

H5310
נפץ
nâphats
naw-fats’
A primitive root; to dash to pieces, or scatter: – be beaten in sunder, break (in pieces), broken, dash (in pieces), cause to be discharged, dispersed, be overspread, scatter.

In other words we are to be worn down by being subjected to repeated blows. These repeated blows will be psychological as well as physical, This is why Jesus said that only those that endure to the end will be saved. Along with the constant warnings about deceptions, false prophets and persecutions.

Mar 13:12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

Look closely at how the family structure and the basic definition thereof, is being broken down by the state and the children encouraged to spy on the parents. The intrusion of the state into the family unit we see today is not normal, it is something new and very destructive. This is only going to be getting worse with the social credit scores coming in.

The scriptures simply state that something will happen and to look out for it, it does not state why it happens or how it comes about. Well we can see how the betrayals between family members have come about. An over reaching government department did it. The more first world a country is, the worse the effects are !

Another aspect to keep an eye on is the law. This regards the secular law and how it has been abused during our time;

Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

It is to be noted that there is no greater tool in the arsenal of evil than the rule of law. Most of the greatest atrocities of this time have been carried out with the power of the law as backing. At this time we have a two tear legal system, One for those doing the evil and another for the rest of us so that those doing the evil get the backing of the law, to use against the common citizens of the nations. This selective abuse of power has a very negative effect on the saint which is why we are told that we need to endure to the end. We see this because the end times is currently in full swing.

If you are wondering why everything is going so queer and gay at this time, there is a reason that is found in Daniel as well. Below is a description of some of the attributes associated with the anti-christ. The one that will set up the abomination of desolation in the Jewish Temple.

Dan 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
Dan 11:38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

When it says he will have no desire of woman it means he will not be attracted to them, he will be a gay himself. He will be a self centred, self absorbed, gay megalomaniac. Now you know why the schools are pushing fifty something sexes and filling the workplace with snowflakes that are permanently offended, They are grooming this generation for his appearance. This is how close to the end we are !

The Great Tribulation.

Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Mat 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Mat 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
Mat 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

Now we are going to be going through a lot of tribulations in the last days but the Great Tribulation is going to be something different, It will not be troubles caused by Satan coming against the saints but By God himself coming against the world in general. The trigger will be when the anti-christ sets up an image of the beast in the Jewish third temple, thus bringing the daily sacrifices to an end

Dan 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
Dan 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Now the timing of this event is really important as a lot of other prophecies get their cue from this event. It is also very close in time from now. So using logical deduction lets work this out.

Israel became a nation state again in 1947. They also now have parcel control over Jerusalem and are getting ready to rebuild their Temple, the third Temple. They have raised the money for it, they have remade the utensils for the sacrifices, they have retrained the Levites to carry out the priestly duties. They are re-breeding the red heifers. The only thing holding them back is that they will need full control of Jerusalem in order to rebuild the actual Temple. This is not going to happen until the time of the gentiles comes to an end.

Luk 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
Luk 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

The time of the gentiles is the Church age, the age of grace. This time of gentiles will only come to an end with the rapture. That is when the age of grace ends and the door closed. After the rapture everything returns back to the law given through Moses and of course this is when the daily sacrifices will be required to restart, not much point before this time.

Now the rapture of the saints under the new covenant under the blood of Jesus takes place during the opening of the sixth seal. So the re-establishing the daily sacrifices has to happen after this point in time. Now we need an end point in time which we can find here;

Rev 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
Rev 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
Rev 15:4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

Now the Israelites get their own reaping or rapture in their own time where they end up before the throne of God the Father. Note that this group sing the song of Moses, Only the Jews will be doing that, not the saints redeemed of Christ. The saints are all about the Blood and confession of faith.

This scene takes place just before the angels go forth to pour out the seven bowls of wrath on the earth. So we know that the Great tribulation had to have occurred before this time because the Jews had to have been carrying out their daily sacrifices on earth in order for the abomination of desolation to take place. And the Temple will only be in operation after the time of the gentiles has past. So this means the Great Tribulation has to take place sometime during the blowing of the trumpets .

The onset of the great tribulation is going to be very rapid. Not much in the way of warning, The scriptures tell the Jews that as soon as they see the abomination take place in the Temple they are to flee to high ground. If they are in a tall building then they are to stay at the top, do not go down stairs to collect their coat even. So what ever God the Father is going to be letting loose because of this act of desecration is going to be something ground hugging that is heavier than air.

Also to note is that it is the Jews that had to overcome the Mark of the Beast to be counted worthy to be gathered before God the Fathers throne in heaven. No mention is made of the saints having to over come the mark at their gathering before Christ so logical deduction says that the full mark of the beast will only come in during the time of the Trumpets as well. Considering that we are already seeing the development of it now, along with the desire by the UN to use it, shows just how close we are to the end.

The Rapture.

Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

The word Rapture is a name given to the event where Jesus comes to collect his bride. The church made up of all the redeemed saints. All of them, the living and those that have already died over the last two thousand years. Thus we get the first resurrection consisting of the saints that are already judged in Christ. In the gospels it talks of the Lord gathering his elect, while in the book of revelation it describes the event as the reaping of the earths harvest. As can be seen from the verses below. However for this study I will stick with the word Rapture as the saints all have a clear understanding of its meaning and connotation.

Rev 14:14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
Rev 14:15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
Rev 14:16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

The tribulations against the saints in the form of the persecutions and betrayals will start to wind down and this will be immediately followed by cosmic disturbances. For the Sun and the Moon to be darkened indicates that something will be passing between the earth and the sun so as to create a shadow. The stars falling would probably be a large meteorite shower, probably triggered by what ever is making the shadow.

But this will be the very last event before the Rapture which is what also ties it to the opening of the sixth seal in revelation. The same events are described there regards the cosmic disturbances. But more detail.

Now the reaction of the worlds population to this event is going to be very interesting. All the nations of the world are going to see the return of Jesus to gather his own and they are going to be going into mourning. They will recognize Jesus for whom he is, but he is also the last person they expected to see. They had had great fun mocking and bulling and killing the religious nuts and did not for a moment believe anything the scriptures said was based in reality. Now there he is directing an army of angels from his position in the clouds.

If any of you have been interacting on social media you will know all about those that have no time for sky daddies or spaghetti monsters etc. Collage professors all over have gone out of their way to teach their students not to follow superstition and embrace the scientific method where any quarter given to a deity is rejected. Basically if you profess any faith in God then you will not graduate but rituals to Satan is all right. What else would we expect in the last days ?

Now I believe this is important for the saints to know and when it happens you can be a comfort to those around you. Jesus said that he would send his angels to gather his elect from the four winds and from one end of heaven to the other. To gather from the four winds is all points of the compass which means anywhere on this earth, but the word translated as heaven comes from the one below;

G3772
οὐρανός
ouranos
oo-ran-os’
Perhaps from the same as G3735 (through the idea of elevation); the sky; by extension heaven (as the abode of God); by implication happiness, power, eternity; specifically the Gospel (Christianity): – air, heaven ([-ly]), sky.

It is a place off the earth, way up in the sky, what we understand today as outer space. This means that the saints will be traveling off world before the time of the rapture, whether under our own steam or aided by others, it does not matter. Just know that the Lord has made provision for this event that is to come and that the saint is not to despair if they are taken away before the rapture as they will not be left out the event because of distance.

Now events on earth at the time of the rapture is important to look at. Yes there will be a lot of persecution against the saints but the heathen are not going to be in any great disturbance. The actual Rapture event is going to come right out the blue with absolutely no warning what so ever. We are simply told that when we see the end of age events happening then know that we are in the right season for it to happen but give no heed to date setting etc.

Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

A comparison is made with how things were happening in the days of Noah. The social order will be undisturbed and in full swing, people marrying and going about their daily business so commerce will be in full swing. The civilization of the day will be trucking along completely oblivious of what is about to transpire, Then wham the gathering takes place. Saints gone and the rest that mocked them left behind in a world that returns to the law with only the nation of Israel left to represent God on the earth. Naturally this situation will allow the anti-christ to rise to prominence in the confused chaos that follows the event.

There is however some limits on how long it will take for these events to transpire;

Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
Mat 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

It is expected that the generation that sees the start of these events will be the same generation that sees the fulfilment of them. We live in the time where it has become obvious that the end of the age events and technologies have started to emerge so that means that our generation is the one that is going to see the end of the age unfold. We are the ones, this is it !

The Changing Condition of the Church

In the early chapters of the book of Revelation Jesus sends messages to seven of the newly established churches at the birth of Christianity in the first century ad. But as time has passed it has also become obvious that the order in which these messages were given correspond to the general condition of the church in each successive age of its history over the past two thousand years.

The second last message was to a church with open doors which corresponds to the missionary outreach of the seventeen and eighteen hundreds. But the last church is to represent our time now, and thus it is to be a warning of the problems we are to face as the end of the age saints. It’s obviously totally accurate and so I have included it for a quick study here.

Rev 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Rev 3:22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Most of the problems in the last days church is caused by the pastors and priests. They incorporated the church and turned it into a business for profit. Hence there is a limit placed on preaching only that which will not chase away the customers. And the congregation will be the ones looking out for that kind of preacher.

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

The first warning will be that the last church will be lukewarm. Well the saints are taught all about Gods love and gifts and promises, but nothing about his severity or judgments. The saints will be taught about being the kings kids, not about the persecution and the cost associated with the faith. The fear of God gets lost when the saints start to see God as being there for their benefit and the understanding of what it means to serve God gets lost. The net result is a social church of convenience, not a vibrant body that will sing in the fires of persecution.

The next warning is that the saints will be embracing the riches of the world and equating it with the blessings of God. You cannot serve God and Mammon, the two philosophes are opposed to one another. The riches that endure are the fruits of the spirit and the gifts of the spirit. Physical stuff and prestige among men are not riches that have any endurance. They are the deceit of the world system. But what do we see coming out the modern day church. Faith being twisted into a force to attract worldly wealth to you. By that standard every drug seller and gangster with a million dollars must be very holy. Which obviously they are not !It is nothing more than occult practices that have been sanitized and pushed into church philosophies. In other words we end up with a false church. The end of age church will suffer from a lack of sound doctrine and Jesus will be spitting its members out his mouth unless they get their act together.

A look at the Opening of the Seals

The seals of Revelation chapter six are basically just repeating the events that Jesus warned about in the Gospels. But they come in a nice order that points out the progress of the events in a nice time line. These are events that originate in this earth. It is the kingdom of Satan coming against the saints of the kingdom of God. The first seal is what started the wars and the rumours of wars;

Rev 6:1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
Rev 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Now you do not go forth conquering, and to conquer unless you intend to dominate and rule over that which you bring into subjection. The one doing this has a crown which indicates that we are looking at a recognized authority. An authority that wants to bring all nations under central government, in other words a global empire. The white horse gives some indication of who the rider may be, Some say the white horse rode out the White House while others say It is the White Lodge. Considering the White lodge has had control of the White House through its initiates, it makes little difference. Others yet say it represents the white nations that went out and colonised the other nations thus modernizing them and making them globally aware.

Well the first seal ends up being opposed by the second seal;

Rev 6:3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
Rev 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

This second rider has no crown. He is not a recognized authority which would indicate that the rider is a grass roots movement that rises up to resist the power of the kings striving for global government. This movement is given a great sword to fight with and it does take peace away from the earth indicating that there is a lot of fighting between many groups. Think of all the different liberation movements all over the place. The horse is coloured red, the same colour as the communists have adopted. There is no winner between these two horses ! But as Jesus said, there will be wars and rumours of wars, but these are just the beginning of sorrows.

Rev 6:5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
Rev 6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

A black horse represents a time of darkness and hardships. The balances represent rationing, a means of measurement of quantity. The amounts of product that can be bought for a penny indicates that the rationing will be carried out by control of the amount of money available. To not harm the oil and wine indicates that the better things will be available but out of economic reach to the masses. It appears that we are looking at artificially controlled shortages here. Probably though a form of taxation and endless rules and regulations. Already we can see the evaporation of the middle class world wide. There is an economic unbalance in the world today where the cost of living is always set just a little higher than the regular incomes and there is no savings for emergencies or ability to build up any real disaster endurance. Get sick go broke.

Rev 6:7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
Rev 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Now the word translated as Pale Horse is this one;

G5515
χλωρός
chlōros
khlo-ros’
From the same as G5514; greenish, that is, verdant, dun-colored: – green, pale.

Beware the green movement, it has already stated that it wants to drop the worlds population by billions, to save the earth of course !For the rider to be called Death indicates that the killing is going to be deliberate and planned. It will be harvesting humans for Hell. It will be using any means available to do the killing. Take note of the culture of death that has sprung up in our modern society. Skulls and the dead in art and trinkets and clothing and songs all over the place. Now even cannibalism is being given a push along with every sexual perversion and occult practices, and it’s the worlds leaders that are being caught up in it !

This is not the way our civilization should have logically matured, But Satans influence has become so pervasive that we have become nothing more than technological savages.

Rev 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
Rev 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Right from the start of the Christian faith the world has been against those belonging to the faith. In the early Roman days we were simply fed to the Lions in the circus for entertainment. But as the number of saints increased so the persecutions died down to a simmer where the worlds reaction was more that of mocking than killing. Jesus did warn his disciples about this;

Luk 21:16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
Luk 21:17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.
Luk 21:18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
Luk 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

However in these last days the persecutions are going to rise to a grand crescendo. The world is going to throw whatever it is able against the saints so as to get rid of the faith altogether. The saints are going to have to go through this, this is when the night that Jesus talked about comes. The objective here is to save our souls, not our bodies. We need to keep that in mind. Loose your soul and all is lost, save your soul and all else becomes replaceable.

Rev 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
Rev 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
Rev 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
Rev 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
Rev 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

There is way more to the sixth seal than just these few verses but it is better to look at this section in small bites. It starts off with a massive earthquake that shifts the earths mantle so all mountains and islands end up at different longitude and latitude positions. There is also a lot of cosmic disturbances which is probably also the trigger event for the earthquake. This also talks of something between the sun and the earth causing a shadow. But the most interesting part is that the worlds human population is bolting for cover, not because of the cosmic events but because they are trying to hide from God and Christ. They recognize and understand that they have done wrong and who is giving them their attention.

Rev 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
Rev 7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
Rev 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Rev 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
Rev 7:5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.

These events are still a part of the sixth seal. From the description Jesus gave in the gospel of Matthew we can see that the cosmic disturbances are associated with the Rapture that will follow right after. When this happens the time of the gentiles ends and the old testament covenant restarts for the last week. The daily sacrifices in the temple will restart etc. With the spirit filled saints gone the Israelites will need to take over. It appears that God the Father is going to be doing the choosing with the sealing of this 144000. 12000 from each of the 12 tribes.

Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
Rev 7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Rev 7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
Rev 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
Rev 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

This is still a part of the sixth seal. What we are looking at here is the redeemed saints before the throne of Christ. In other words these are the events just after the rapture. Notice that their being there is attributed to the Blood of the Lamb. Nothing about works, keeping the law or over coming the Mark of the Beast. A huge multitude.

Rev 8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
Rev 8:2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
Rev 8:3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
Rev 8:4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.
Rev 8:5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
Rev 8:6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

This is the last of the seven seals. Age of grace has ended and we have the return of the law. God the Father is the judge of the law and as such he holds sway over the earth through his own chosen nation, Israel. Now things on earth are going to change as well. This seventh seal is where the angels get set to blow their trumpets in warning to the inhabitants of the earth. In the seals it was the people of the earth coming against those that wanted to follow Christ. In the Trumpets it is God coming against those same people that persecuted the saints and were left behind by the rapture. .

A Look at the Trumpets.

Rev 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

The first trumpet burns up all the green grass and a third of the trees. No input from anything on earth. This is purely an act of God.

Rev 8:8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
Rev 8:9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

The second trumpet sounds like a giant meteor crashing into one of the seven seas. An act of God that destroys a third of what ever is there.

Rev 8:10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
Rev 8:11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

Once again a third part of the target. In this case fresh water and with it all poisoned people die.

Rev 8:12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
Rev 8:13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

Now this would be mid Great Tribulation. As in Daniels last week. It is probably somewhere around this point that the Abomination of Desolation is set up. But no one will know for sure until the event actually happens. Once again we see the amount of a third. There is no indication of how long this will last but obviously food crop production will be effect if for any length of time. It is also at this time that angels start to speak directly to men.

Rev 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
Rev 9:2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
Rev 9:3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
Rev 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
Rev 9:5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
Rev 9:6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
Rev 9:7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
Rev 9:8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
Rev 9:9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
Rev 9:10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
Rev 9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

This seems like a direct punishment, probably for the Mark of the Beast. This hoard of insects that sting like a scorpion are intelligently controlled by a demon. But Men not being able to die, now that is something new. We are not likely to know how this comes about until the time but there is speculation that it may be the unintended consequence of sciences pursuit of the singularity.

Rev 9:13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
Rev 9:14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
Rev 9:15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
Rev 9:16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
Rev 9:17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
Rev 9:18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
Rev 9:19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
Rev 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
Rev 9:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

The Euphrates river has its start in the highlands of Turkey, passes down through Syria and into Iraq where it empties into the Persian gulf. The part of the Middle east that is really being stirred up and antagonized right now. They are to be spiritually driven and for them to be able to kill off a third of the human race means that they probably are going to be using weapons of mass destruction. What excuse actually sparks the conflict off is still future, but as the nation of Israel is still around it will probably have something to do with them.

The hardness of hart should also be noted here as well. All men know that Jesus is and God is real because of the events of the rapture. But despite every thing that is happening around them they have no intention of even attempting to come to repentance. They are happy in their barbarity.

The seventh Trumpet covers far more ground than the first six and covers an over view of other events that occur during the blowing of the trumpets which are not a direct result of the actual trumpets them selves. Again it will be best to cover these in smaller sections, but before that I just want to skip to the end, To just before the bowls of wrath.

Rev 15:1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

Now those verses are located at the end of the trumpets and just before the pouring out of the bowls of wrath. This group of people are standing before the throne of God, not the throne of Christ where the saints of the church are found, This is the group that was left on the earth after the rapture, mostly the Jews who applied the law and reinstated the daily sacrifices.

They are identified as those that overcame the Mark of the Beast etc. They operated under works, not grace. ie; they were under the law. They sang the song of Moses and the song of the lamb. Only the Jews sing the song of Moses, not the church. The fact that they are singing the song of the Lamb as well indicates that they have accepted Jesus as their Messiah which also makes him their king over them as well, as in the throne of David which Jesus is going to inherit.

Anyway at this point all of Gods people are off the earth and only the people that have submitted to Satan remain for the pouring out of the bowls of wrath. Now to return to the other events that are shown originating from the earth during the last Trumpet.

Rev 10:5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
Rev 10:6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
Rev 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Why the need for Salvation and what does it even mean.

Why the need for Salvation and what does it even mean.

Written by traveler

Over the past generation this subject has become so watered down that the subject is no longer fully understood. We now have an adaptation of the new age beliefs where all roads lead to God or God is all lovey-dovey so say this little prayer and you are all done. Even the term repentance needs to be defined as the meaning has become lost. The first thing that needs to be understood is why we need salvation in the first place. The word salvation is translated from this Greek word;

G4991
σωτηρία
sōtēria
so-tay-ree’-ah
Feminine of a derivative of G4990 as (properly abstract) noun; rescue or safety (physically or morally): – deliver, health, salvation, save, saving.

So the obvious question is, What do we need to be rescued from ? From what danger do we need to be saved from ? Well lets consider this little item. This is where Satan was attempting to bribe Christ.

Mat 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
Mat 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
Mat 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Here you have to keep in mind is that this would not be a temptation unless the devil actually owned the kingdoms of this world and had the authority to actually give them away to whom he willed. The implication of this is that we are basically born into the kingdom of Satan and are subjects under his authority. The same thing is confirmed from the gospel of Luke;

Luk 4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
Luk 4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
Luk 4:7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
Luk 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

The implication here is that we are born into the kingdom of Satan. This places us in a situation where we are cut off from God and doomed to be judged along with the kingdom of Satan at the end of the age and share the same fate as hell when that Judgment falls on all that the Devil holds. Hence the plan God put in place to rescue us before that time. This plan we call salvation ! This well known verse described the situation rather well;

Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

The kingdom of Satan is basically holding the descendants of Adam as a hostage, a case of saying to God, “If you punish us you have to punish the humans too”. But that falls short if someone else who is actually righteous takes our punishment for us. Basically a case of substitution. Jesus is the Son of God, as such he has the citizenship of heaven, He is Not a descendant of Adam. Not the citizenship of this world. Not trapped under the curse. Hence the importance of the virgin birth etc. The following verses explain it well;

Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Gal 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Rev 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Now of course the question is, how do we apply this?

In essence we renounce our worldly spiritual citizenship and we submit to Jesus as our King and accept him as our saviour. There by openly proclaiming ourselves as adopted citizens of Gods Kingdom. This salvation cannot be bought, sold or earned. It has to be given and accepted for free. This deals with the philosophies between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan.

You come into the kingdom of God as you are and then grow and learn spiritually. The idea of getting your act together and cleaning yourself up before accepting Christ is a non starter. You will not be able to do this on your own, you need Christ to help you do this. Naturally you can expect the kingdom of Satan to oppose this and that opposition comes in the form of persecutions and deceptions.

Now the actions or rituals involved in this is very simple.

Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mar 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mar 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

The first requirement is to believe that Jesus is who he claims to be and that he will do that which he says he will do. This part is an act of faith and even this is not totally of yourself. The initial faith to believe is a gift from God himself.

Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Eph 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

This is achieved by prayer as in the sinners prayer and the persons confession to those around about them. You state that you accept Jesus as your King or Lord and trust in him to be your saviour. Next comes the ritual of water baptism. This is a solemn ritual that is preformed as a witness to both heaven and Satan as to your intentions and statement of faith. Kind of like pledging allegiance to the flag.

Now this is just the start of the pilgrims journey, later comes the baptism of the Holy Spirit etc but that is another subject.

Why the need for Salvation and what does it even mean.

Christ’s First Miracle.

Christ’s First Miracle.

Very little is know of the life of Christ as he was growing up. What was he like as a person and what was his relationship with his family like. Well quite a bit can be gleaned from the events that surrounded his first recorded miracle which was also used to launch his ministry.

These events are recorded in these verses from the Gospel of John.
John Chapter 2

[1] And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

[2] And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

[3] And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

[4] Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

[5] His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

[6] And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

[7] Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

[8] And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

[9] When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

[10] And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

[11] This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
Doing an analysis of these verses we can see the following.
[1] And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

[2] And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
Now this was just a marriage in the area and no doubt most of the local folks were invited, Both Jesus and his mother were there and as the disciples were with Jesus they also went along. Now he had picked up the disciple just after he had been baptized because of what John the Baptist had said about him. But he had not done any miracles in the sight of his disciples up to this point in time. Now to be invited to this wedding also meant that he was recognized as being in the circle of friends of the bride and groom. He was an accepted part of the community.
[3] And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

[4] Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
Now things start to get interesting. The wedding party was in full swing and the wine ran out. Now the first thing that Mary does is come and tell Jesus. Obviously Mary was accustomed to Jesus being able to do miracle of provision in the past and expected him to do the same thing here so as to save the day. Jesus on the other hand tried to back out. He did not feel that the time was ready to go public or to launch his ministry. He told here that his hour had not yet come.
[5] His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
Well his mother was not going to take no for an answer and promptly put him on the spot. She went and told the servants to do exactly what he told them to do with the full confidence that he would come through. Jesus was now left with the choice of either coming through with a miracle or letting his mother be humiliated in the sight of the servants. This does give some indication of the relationship that Jesus had with his mother and he came through with the miracle even though it was against his better judgment, It is also interesting to note that although this first public miracle was used to launch his ministry and confirm his ability in the eyes of his new disciples it was primarily done so as to please his mother and save the wedding from an early ending.

It was done in service to the people around him and not some grand thing for the kingdom. This trait also was displayed throughout his ministry, the miracles were most often done as a service to help the people in need around him. Not so much as in service to himself or to do something great and grand for the kingdom of God.

Now this is where Jesus actually performed the miracle. There are some interesting points to note. For these miracles to happen there are two things required. The first is obedience and the second is the need to step out in faith even if it goes against conventional logic. Now the servants had been told to fill up these water pots with water so they did. Then without any form of religious incantation or ritual they were instructed to draw some of that self same water that they had just put in there and take it to the head of the table. Well they obeyed, fully expecting nothing but water to be poured out into the cup when they got to the other end. But because they had been told to do everything that he said they did anyway. Not their fault that there was only water left anyway!

Well somewhere between the point of when the servant drew the water out of the stone water pot and the point where he poured it into the cup of the host of the feast the water transformed into fermented grape juice, commonly known as wine. Like most genuine miracles associated with Christ there was no dramatics, wild visual effects, or other wild manifestations of a supernatural nature. The miracle was quite, unobtrusive, and complete. The wine was of the best quality. The only people that knew what had happened behind the scenes were the servants, Mary and the disciples. But this was enough to establish his reputation as a miracle worker and launch his ministry. His ministry had to start at some point and as he had already acquired his first disciples it may as well have been then anyway. No doubt the story of what had happened was soon to spread.

And he never demanded payment for the services he preformed for the people in need.

The historical integrity of the Bible.

The historical integrity of the Bible.

One of the most annoying accusations is that there are manuscripts that have been found that are older than what the bible is supposed to be so therefore the bible has to be a false document. The real motive is to discredit the biblical scriptures rather than examine just where the bible actually comes from.

The bible itself is a historical record mainly devoted to the formation of the nation of Israel and Gods dealings with that nation as pertaining to the establishments of the covenants with that nation thus setting in place the chain of events that lead up to this day. It was originally started by Moses who had been raised and educated in the royal house of Egypt. The first book of the Bible is the Book of Genesis and clearly cover the events of human history prior to the establishment of that first covenant with Abraham which occurred over 400 years before Moses was even born.

So where did Moses get the records from that he used to write this first book. Clearly as he was educated in the Egyptian systems it would be logical to assume that he used the ancient Egyptian records as his starting point and then drew on the Israelite oral traditions to fill in the rest as pertaining to the Abrahamic lines. The books after that, Consisting of the Torah, all took place with Moses being an eye witness to the events and therefore he was just a recorder of the events and revelations as they unfolded. It is quite possible that it was in fact Moses that actually developed the Hebrew alphabet for his people in the first place. While the Israelites were doing their 40 year stint in the wilderness he had plenty of time to get all the records in place and writing system established. Those that remained with him all properly schooled and trained so that they could lead the nation into the promised land after they returned, and in a position to continue updating the records as they went through the Jordan.

So now where does that leave all the other traces of ancient religious literature? Well obviously God did not just appear on the scene when Abraham showed up. After all he was active with Noah and the tower of Babel and he did put a smite on Sodom. So of course there are going to be other records prior to the traditional bible but that does not mean that it is not the same God or that the traditional Bible is wrong. It just means that the scriptures represent a more organized form of record keeping, that’s all, and is the reason those records are so accessible today.

So when did all this religiosity stuff with God start and the ideas of sacrifices and rituals actually begin. Well believe it or not that is recorded in the Bible anyway. It started right in the beginning with Cain and Able, the very first two children that Adam and Eve gave birth to.
Gen 4:3 And in the end of days, it happened, Cain brought to Jehovah an offering of the fruit of the ground.
Gen 4:4 And Abel also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat of it. And Jehovah had respect to Abel and to his offering,
Gen 4:5 but He did not have respect to Cain and to his offering. And Cain glowed with anger, and his face fell.
Well it would seem that the first conflict on this earth was a religious one. Cain killed Able out of Jealousy because God showed Able’s sacrifice more attention than his own. And the act of violence was committed by the vegetarian side and their green movement. How’s that for a twist. And how strange it is that not much seems to have changed as we seem to be ending where we began! But we only know about it because someone kept a record of it and it was eventually committed to a written form.

Then we get to something interesting in the days of Noah!
Gen 6:7 And Jehovah said, I will destroy man whom I have created, from the face of the earth, both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air. For I repent that I have made them.
Gen 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of Jehovah.
Gen 6:9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.
Gen 6:10 And Noah fathered three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Gen 6:11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
Gen 6:12 And God looked upon the earth. And, behold, it was corrupted! For all flesh had corrupted its way upon the earth.
Now for Noah to walk with God meant that there had to be a knowledge about God for him to know what he was doing. But the rest of society at that time were all off in another direction. So the Knowledge of God was by-en-large lost. Now Noah was obviously going against the grain and out of step with the normal society at that time. But he was the one that had it right.

But if we ever got our hands on a written record of that time concerning the accepted religious practices written by the scholars of that day and were able to read it the following would become obvious. It would be very ancient, it would be genuine and it would be labeled as authentic. Only problem is that it would obviously not be accurate. After all it would concern religious rituals that God found offensive and it would not be in our interest to start to practice them all over again. So old does not mean right!

But then we get to the point where the very start of the Israelite nation began to come about and the plan of redemption that was destined to take place many thousands of years later was started in motion.
Gen 12:1 And Jehovah said to Abram, Go out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father’s house into a land that I will show you.
Gen 12:2 And I will make you a great nation. And I will bless you and make your name great. And you shall be a blessing.
Gen 12:3 And I will bless those that bless you and curse the one who curses you. And in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.
This is where the first covenant was to be established and God was to breed up his holy nation in the earth. It is from this point that the scriptures stopped being just a general record and started to be a specific record about this Holy Nation.

Now we come to an interesting record concerning the fall of nations.
Gen 15:12 And it happened as the sun was setting, and a deep sleep fell upon Abram. And, behold, a horror of great darkness fell upon him!
Gen 15:13 And He said to Abram, You must surely know that your seed shall be a stranger in a land not theirs, and shall serve them. And they shall afflict them four hundred years.
Gen 15:14 And also I will judge that nation whom they shall serve. And afterward they shall come out with great substance.
Gen 15:15 And you shall go to your fathers in peace. You shall be buried in a good old age.
Gen 15:16 But in the fourth generation they shall come here again, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.
Now here God was telling Abraham that his decedents were going to be going into bondage into Egypt for 400 years. An event that was at that time still two generations away. But this is the interesting part and it is from this that we get the understanding that judgment only falls on the generation that is ready for it.

The land that God promised to Abraham belonged to the Amorites at that time. But this nation was still close enough to God that he was not prepared to sweep them away yet. In other words they still had a true knowledge of God. But God knew the direction that they were going to be going in and that in 500 years they would be so far gone that they would be ready for his judgments and that the land could be given to another people that were more worthy. It was not that God was not giving these nations warnings as well. After all it was during Abrahams time that Sodom got blasted as a warning to all. But the lesson was obviously brushed aside.

Now we are finding old religious writings from that period that belonged to the Amorites and Philistines etc. And they are indeed authentic and do represent the religious practices of that region at that time. Only problem is that God couldn’t stand the sight of them. So it would be safe to assume that there was something horribly wrong with their religious practices and that we should not be considering them as something to place our own faith in or emulate in any way. If anything it should be a study on how things go off the rails and what the results are likely to be! That concept can be reinforced when it is considered that whenever the Israelites drifted away from their God and started to copy the practices of these nations around them they also started to come under the curse as well.

So all things considered, finding old writings that predate the Bible do not mean that the Bible is inaccurate or that the older writings carry more weight or that the older writings are more pure or closer to God in any way. They are just old but not necessarily accurate from Gods perspective. They should be taken as a warning of what NOT to do!

People do try and explain it away but lets face it. How often do all the waters in the land turn to blood. As far as I know it has only happened once in recorded history.

And with the nations army drowned Egypt was wide open for the plunder.

Understanding Mammon

Understanding Mammon

written by traveler

Considering how much Jesus had to say about this subject, it is a wonder why teaching about it from the pulpit is an unspoken taboo. The main point to grasp here is that mammon is the philosophy and governing principles behind the operations in the kingdom of Satan. The economic systems which we have adopted along with its privileged and social ramifications. It instills the opposite behaviors held up as desirable in the kingdom of God. It encourages self centeredness instead of God centeredness. Every other religion will promote the development of self, with self being responsible for their own development in reaching for the higher state of being. While in the kingdom of God it is impossible to earn ones own salvation in any way shape or form. It can only be given as a free gift for the asking. Mans natural reasoning will gravitate towards the principles of mammon because of our fallen state, which makes the learning and understanding of Godly principles something that requires the development of new lines of logic. This line of reasoning is not something that comes naturally to us. There is no shortage of new testament scriptures looking at this phenomenon, such as the one below.

Rom 8:5 For they that are according to the flesh, do mind the things of the flesh: but they that are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace:

Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

And the solution to the problem being along the lines of this scripture below.

Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Rom 12:3 For through the grace given to me, I say, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Jesus of course just stated the situation very plainly and bluntly as recorded in this verse below.

Mat 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

To be noted here, is that Jesus referred to serving mammon as in competition to serving God. No matter how diplomatic you try to be, there is going to come a time where the rules of mammon and submission to Gods laws are going to be in opposition. Do you take the financial loss and obey God, or do you please the stock holders and take the money or the deal and run? But in reality mammon encompasses far more than just wealth. It also includes all the trappings of prestige, political power, influence, worldly respect and all else that places a person in high esteem over the common people in the form of brute power based on wealth, not acts of righteousness.

The kingdom of Satan also keeps close tabs on the distribution of mammon as well. Those who do not play their game will be stripped of mammon and reputation so as to render them the poor of the land. This is to pressure them into compliance or servitude. The specific demonic entities involved with this are Rimmon and Focalor. Interesting read if you look them up. Fortunately they can be bound by the saints using the authority we have in Christ.

The basic dictionary definition in Strongs concordance is as follows!

G3126

μαμμωνα?ς

mammōnas

mam-mo-nas’

Of Chaldee origin (confidence, that is, figuratively wealth, personified); mammonas, that is, avarice (deified): – mammon.

The control comes through the need to protect ones gains in the form of mammon. Worldly wisdom

dictates that reputation needs to be protected in the sight of others that also have the required reputations, even if the course of action denies justes to the poor of the land. We are coming into a time where those that mock God and Christ are held in high esteem. Pear pressure to conform will ensure the mockery of God grows. This is the laws of mammon in operation.

A good example of where this plays out is to be found in these verses;

Est 3:5 And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.

Est 3:6 And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shewed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.

Haman was number two in the kingdom, He had lots of mammon and a great deal of pride to go along with it. When this Jew did not bow and tremble before him when he passed, Haman decided to kill off all the Jews in the land. He was to be feared and reverenced because of his station. As is the case of mammon in operation.

Fortunately the kings wife just happened to be a Jew and the daughter of Mordecai, so the Jews came through and Haman ended up on his own gallows.

This of course is the exact opposite of what Jesus taught;

Mat 20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

Mat 20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

Mat 20:27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Mat 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

This of course does create a challenge for us in that we have to live in a world that is governed by mammon, while we are supposed to be striving to uphold godly principles. Jesus, fortunately did give us some advice on how to handle this situation.

The fact is that our economic system is designed in such a way that the good guys will inevitably finish last and those that want to come in first no matter what will have to leave their godly principles behind so as to beat out the competition. The higher up the ladder you go in the worlds system the more you will have to exploit your fellow man and stretch the truth in order to accumulate wealth. Get enough of it and you may even stand a chance in politics where there is some real power to go along with it.

Now that leaves us in a bit of a problem. We want to pursue the things of God and lay up for ourselves some treasures in heaven but at the same time we have out of necessity to engage in worldly mammon in order to live. So the question is, How do we handle this. Well the first thing is to identify what belongs to the kingdom of God and what Belongs to the kingdom of this world in the form of mammon. The moment the two get mixed up everything gets corrupted.

Now Jesus did point out that there is a conflict of interest involved when dealing with mammon while attempting to also walk in the spirit. But he also pointed out that you need make a decision regarding which you want to serve. We do have two masters over us but we get to choose which we want to honour and which we want to despise.

However Jesus also gave some very good advice on how to handle the situation. And it is found in the context of the first verse quoted which is reproduced below.

Luk 16:9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

Luk 16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Luk 16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

Luk 16:12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?

Luk 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Luk 16:14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.

Luk 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

Now right off the batt Jesus acknowledged that as far as our dealings with mammon are concerned we are probably going to fail as the doors of the world will tend to close to us. But he also cautioned that we are to deal faithfully with it as in a trust worthy manner.

But what Jesus also pointed out was that while you have it use it to make friends and alliances so that you will not be an offence to any and they will be willing to help you in the future in times when you will inevitably need the help. That way by remaining true to your Godly principles you will still be rewarded in other ways when the mammon of the world fails you.

The Cross

The Cross

written by traveler

Often in Christian circles we hear talk of the old rugged cross and reference of being backed up to the cross etc, which all sounds so spiritual but what does the cross really mean. One thing that many miss is that Jesus was talking about the need to take up our own personal cross and follow him long before he himself actually got nailed to the cross to make the atonement for our salvation.

The thing is that Christ’s Cross may be central to the worlds redemption but the cross in general and what it means in relation to our own spiritual walk encompasses a great deal more. Take a look at the passage below, note the time frame of the topic covered, this was well before Jesus was himself crucified and he was teaching that we also have to take up our own crosses and what they represent.
Mat 16:21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Mat 16:22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

Mat 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Mat 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Mat 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Mat 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Mat 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Consider what is revealed in verse 22 of the above passage. The message of the cross is very offensive to the natural thoughts of men. Peter was having trouble dealing with this and yes Satan does and will take advantage of this revulsion of the cross so as to derail the will of God but Jesus makes it quite clear that God comes first and the revulsion of the cross has to be endured if you ever intend to be accepted of God.

Now to understand what is happening here you have to grasp the significance of what the cross actually represents in the contexts of this society. The cross represents total rejection by the people of this world. Rejection to the point where the society of the day wants nothing more than to kill you and get rid of you and remove you from its midst with prejudice. It is after all the death penalty of that day like the electric chair or the lethal injection is today.

To be a friend of the world is to accept caesars way and come into agreement with ceasar but to be accepted by God requires being rejected by the caesars of the day and submitting to Christ instead and coming into agreement with God. You can only serve one master which means you have to reject the other which in turn requires that you have to endure the consequences of that decision and that is the burden of your own personal cross. For quite some time now here in the west Christ has been the establishment and the cross has not carried a price but this is not the normal and certainly was not the case in the days of the original Apostles. Because of this the full significance of what the cross represents has been forgotten but all that is about to change. Caesar is again regaining his hold and Christ is becoming more and more rejected by the world here in the west and the burden of the cross is going to once again have meaning to those that would follow Christ and seek after God. The time has come where the saints are going to have to once again carry the full weight of their own crosses just as the early saints had to under the rule of Rome. Being rejected by the world because of the offence of the cross of Christ is called persecution and the objective of the persecution is to bring the saints to the point where the burden of the cross becomes too much to bare and they fall away to the point where they once again submit to the caesar of the generation just to get by.

Now this natural desire to conform and be accepted as a part of the greater is used by Satan to corrupt and entice. Hence the reason Jesus made it very clear that there can not be any real compromise and you have to make a solid choice regarding who you are to serve in the full knowledge of what the price is going to be. But this same need for acceptance can and is used to corrupt the doctrines of the very faith that the saints cling to. The saints may be rejected by the world but they in turn cling to each other and seek acceptance amongst themselves which in turn opens the door for a corrupting influence to gain a toe hold. Consider the passage below.
Gal 6:12 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.

Gal 6:13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.

Gal 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
In both the passage above and the one below we see an example of religious persecution at work. In Christ the saints are under grace because Christ himself is our sacrifice but there was and still is a push to bring back the old laws of the old covenant which in itself renders the sacrifice of Christ of no effect. The tool used to make this happen is the desire of acceptance by the perceived greater, when in reality it is nothing of the sort. To be circumcised is to be bound to the old laws which in reality only applies to the nation of Israel, no gentile nation was represented at Mount Sinai when God gave Moses the laws. But by bringing the church under the law the redemtion done by Christ gets rejected. In essence being enticed to come into agreement with a false doctrine has the same effect as being enticed into coming into agreement with caesar or the world system of the day. The lesson learnt is that to carry your cross applies to both the world and also religious settings as well.

You will notice that a lot of the modern denominations are trying to retain acceptance from our modern world system. They have lost the understanding of what it means to bare ones own cross and just how important it is. Those are the denominations that are basically in free fall. The worlds systems are offended by Christ. If the church is not an offence to the world system then you need to ask if there is any of the real Christ left in it to cause the offence that should be there. To demonstrate, if you want to clear a crowded room all you need to do is to start preaching about Christ and the salvation message, in no time flat half the people will have cleared out, if you do not want to be an offence and do not want the people clearing out the room then you have to compromise on the gospel to the point where it no longer is a gospel with any effect or power. If you are solid in Christ you will be an offence to people and you will be rejected by men, that should be the price you are willing to pay and the cross that you will have to bare. Paul explained this in verse 11 of the passage below.
Gal 5:10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

Gal 5:11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.

Gal 5:12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.

Gal 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Now the severity of the cross is demonstrated in the passage below. The rejection by the world of the cross of Christ will split families, To follow Christ properly will require a commitment that leaves no real room of compromise, You all know the attitude directed to family members that go all religious etc. Well consider the Muslim boy that goes Christian, They understand the full burden of the cross.
Luk 14:25 And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,

Luk 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

Luk 14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Luk 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

Luk 14:29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
If there is one thing that the modern church and the saints need today it is a clear understanding of what the cross represents and what it means to them personally. In times past the saints embraced the cross understanding its cost but also with the understanding of the reward that is to follow. However those that have the most to lose are the ones that will have the greatest trouble because of the enticements of mammon. Jesus explained this very well in the passage below.
Mar 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Mar 10:22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

Mar 10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

Mar 10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

Mar 10:25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Mar 10:26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?

Mar 10:27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Mar 10:28 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.

Mar 10:29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,

Mar 10:30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
Now that passage gives a lay out of the requirements but also the promises. However the same rule applies regarding the carrying of ones cross as shown in verse 30. You do get a restoration but along with it comes the persecutions as well. To follow God is to suffer the rejection of the world as well.

The Days of Darkness

The Days of Darkness

written by traveler

There is coming up in the future an event that has been prophicied in both the old and new Testament that is to have a great deal of significance. It is a time of darkness that will over shadow everything for an extended duration. It also appears to be tied in with what is happening in Israel which means that the time for its fulfillment could well be drawing closer. Hence the reason for taking a closer look at this subject.

What also needs to be noted is that this kind of event has happened before, its not something new, but at the same time it is not common either. The last time something like this happened was in Exodus as shown in the passage below.
Exo 10:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

Exo 10:22 And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:

Exo 10:23 They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
The passage below is the first one to hint at this future time of darkness but what I want to point out is what it is associated with, it is looking at a time of conflict, a time where God is dealing with his adversaries but in a New Testament setting. It is pointing to the time when God will be taking the rejected of this earth and placing them in positions of authority while the wicked of this earth are left with out any defence or word. It is describing the events associated with the second coming of Christ.
1Sa 2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, and he hath set the world upon them.

1Sa 2:9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

1Sa 2:10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.
Now there is an association here with an event known as the Day of the Lord, there are quite a few references to this event as well. Now verse 31 in the passage below makes reference to this time of darkness and places it as an event that is to occur before The Day of the Lord. In other words the days of Darkness act as a marker in time that the Day of the Lord is about ready to follow. This is associated with the deliverance of mount Zion and the city of Jerusalem. One look at events in the middle east and the controversy over the existence of the state of Israel and the city of Jerusalem indicates that this event is probably going to be happening sooner than later, quite possible our generation will be the ones to see it. Verse 30 could well be pointing to the start of our nuclear age. As in mushroom clouds.
Joe 2:26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Joe 2:27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Joe 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Joe 2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

Joe 2:30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

Joe 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Joe 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
Because of the association between the days of darkness and the Day of the Lord I included this following passage as well. It describes a time of conflict and war involving an army that we do not actually have on this earth at this time. It is very much an Armageddon scenario.
Joe 2:7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:

Joe 2:8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

Joe 2:9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

Joe 2:10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

Joe 2:11 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

Joe 2:12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

Joe 2:13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
It is interesting to note that Jesus also spoke of this Time of Darkness and he places it as an event that will happen just before he returns to gather his elect in what has become known as the rapture. But he also places the event as happening just after a time of tribulations. The tribulations, Time of Darkness and the gathering of his elect are all to occur in the space of a single generation so these events are going to be following one on top of the other. For the nations to morn indicates that his return to gather the saints is not something that they wanted to see happen. From this it can be concluded that the tribulations applied mostly to the saints themselves.

Looking at how the world is moving in an organized manner to control and repress the Christian faiths it is no stretch of the imagination to consider that the times of tribulation is fast approaching.

Mat 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
The Apostle Mark also recounts the same warnings quoted from Jesus but it is to be noted that the Tribulations also include the appearance of many false Christs and false prophets that will add to the general confusion of the age. This we already see with a deluge of new age occultism and false Christs all over the place proclaiming their own selves.
Mar 13:21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:

Mar 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Mar 13:23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

Mar 13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

Mar 13:25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

Mar 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

Mar 13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Mar 13:28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

Mar 13:29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

Mar 13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

Mar 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Now the historian Luke covered this same subject in his research of Christianity and though he did not mention the sun being darkened he mentioned signs in the sun and moon but he also described events that literary describe our current situation regarding global warming and weather woes. But gain the chain of events is the same though he covers the history from a Jewish perspective as well.

He pointed out that Jerusalem would be trodden under the feet of the gentiles until the time of the gentiles was to draw to an end. Well the nation of Israel once again exists and there now is a lot of controversy regarding the city of Jerusalem. From the old testament the days of darkness is associated with the controversy over Jerusalem, hence the time for this event to occur seems to be very close.
Luk 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Luk 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Luk 21:26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Luk 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Luk 21:29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

Luk 21:30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
Now the book of acts also gives us a reference to this event quoting from the old testament. The Apostle Paul again affirms that the days of Darkness will happen before the Lord returns to gather his elect but even though there will be tribulation for the saints the message will still be going out that there is a need for repentance and calling on the name of the Lord before the Day of the Lord happens.
Act 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Act 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Act 2:19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

Act 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Act 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Act 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
Now the book of Revelation nails down the timeline for the Event of Darkness a lot closer. It is to happen during the time period covered by the sixth seal. That means that the first 5 seals will comprise the events that Jesus referred to as the tribulations of those days. It reads like a time of cosmic upheavals and massive earthquakes that actually alter the earths geophysical form.

But what is very interesting to note is that a lot of underground bunkers are being built and stocked at this very time making the fulfilment of this prophecy regarding the great and free men of this earth ducking for cover while the poor and no account are left to perish.
Rev 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

Rev 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

Rev 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

Rev 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

Rev 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
The only ones that will be standing out in the open when all this happens will be those that do not fear it because they will be expecting to see the return of their Lord to gather them and take them out from this place.

Something to think about!
